What is NGO/CBO Planning Forum?
Integration of NGOs’ plans into the Annual Operational Plan (AOP) of each Provincial Health Departments is a strong demand from Ministry' of Health and something MEDiCAM is strongly committed to. There has been some progress in this regard but there are challenges ahead which need to be resolved to speed up the process. MEDiCAM, with some support from the Global Fund for Health System Strengthening, and in collaboration with the Department of Planning and Health Information, Ministry of Health, are holding a series of NGO-Government Planning Integration Forums aiming at increasing NGOs' participation in an integrated AOP.
The main specific objectives of these forums are (1) to make NGOs, especially local ones, aware of the planning process and the timeframe of AOP, and (2) to discuss the current challenges, issues, difficulties, and seek practical solutions for this integration of the AOP.
